In Bollywood movies, getting drunk and singing drunkard song was considered the preserve of males (viz Devdas etc). Ladies getting drunk and making a spectacle of themselves was a strict no no. But in 1960s, Bollywood movies tried to break this stereotype. We saw Waheeda Rehman singing a drunkard song in “Guide” (1965) and a few more songs followed.
